Kiwanis of Marion Sunrisers

We are a morning club, meeting at 7:00 a.m. on every Tuesday, EXCEPT holidays and the fifth Tuesday of the month, at the Marion Hy Vee. Please feel welcome to join us for breakfast at one of our Tuesday morning meetings.

Our club was chartered on January 23, 1973 with 21 members. We were sponsored by the evening Kiwanis Club of Marion. In the early years, our Club met at the Suburban restaurant in Marion. The Suburban was on U.S. Highway 151 which was known as the Hiawatha Pioneer Trail. When our club was started, it was known as the Kiwanis Club of Hiawatha Trails. To bring the character of our club into sharper focus, we changed our club name to the Kiwanis of Marion Sunrisers in September 2001. We have always been a Marion club, serving the children of the metro area.
